Again

The same thing week in and week out.

We all do it. The same route to work, the same time to eat, the same people we talk to. We as human beings are creatures of habit. Once we have settled into a routine that is comfortable it becomes very difficult for us to deviate from it.

What is the definition of insanity? To repeat the same action over and over and expect a different result. We as people fall into this definition of insanity sometimes and don’t even know it. Then we wonder why we are no longer growing and not at the point we want to be in life.

Change is necessary. It is the only way to truly get what you want. And if you no longer want to be mundane, stop doing mundane things. At the end of the day it’s that simple.

I recently completed bar tending school and am now actively looking for a job practicing this profession. Not because its my dream job. But for the goals I have it is the next logical step.

When we settle into a routine and no longer move in the direction we wish to go we are asking for misery.

Take a new class, set up a new workout routine, go to a restaurant you’ve never been before, talk to a person you usually would never dream of talking to. The only thing that can happen is growth from these experiences.

And it is through these experiences that we may become extraordinary.
